The public cloud is a cloud service offered by a vendor to multiple clients. When a company chooses to use various public clouds to run different services, this is called a multi-cloud strategy.

These tools can be deployed on-premises or as a SaaS product, and serve multiple purposes like security, analytics, resource management, and compliance. When choosing a multi-cloud management tool, it’s important to remember a few things.

1. Tools that fall under the same category will operate in different ways. For example, Cloud Service Brokers (CSBs) and Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs) carry out management and operations differently.
2. Cloud management tools are susceptible to security breaches. It is important to consider your security needs well before choosing a tool for your organization.
3. Introducing new tools can create problems regarding performance, operating expenses, and the capacity to deal with services from different public cloud providers.
